The mountain biking trails on Carters Road in the Pines just outside of Margaret River are open again. Although a few trails in one corner have been lost to tree harvesting, most of it still remains! Happy Days! There are still 20 km of trails to ride!
The classics remain: Big Pine, Whoop Whoop, Lilly Trail, Aunt Lou and more are all waiting for you. The latest addition, Paper Trail, offers some serious technical riding with some jumps and rocky sections. Have a go if you have the skills! Thanks go out to MRORCA members for all the organising approvals and trail building. Kudos!
If you’re looking for smooth, fast single-track with jumps, awesome berms and fast cross-country descents, then try the Pines soon. The northern trails suit all levels and abilities, while the southern trails are a bit steeper and tend to have more technical rocky and rooty sections.
Whereas the Creek Trails on the south side of Carters are for intermediate to advanced riders, the Pines are for everyone.
You will find the updated Pine trails on the Margaret River Find the Fun™ App. It’s free and can be downloaded on Google Play™.
The App doesn’t need the Internet, so it works everywhere.
Want to know where to park and which way to ride? You can find that information on the App’s map.
Want to know where you are on the trails when time is running out and you’re about to be late for lunch with your spouse? Activate your GPS when on the Pines Map and the blue dot shows your location. Get back to the car the quickest way possible, change, load up and get to that restaurant on time.
Margaret River Find the Fun App. It’s not just an App, it’s a relationship saver.
